Everything was very good, we had great 1 day here. The location was perfect and quiet in a fairly quiet area, near Ella train station, a peaceful area and the rail tracks. Nothing too much trouble, the venue met the needs...

Enjoyed in-room breakfast and felt safe with 24-hour security. Stairs were tough carrying luggage.

The access to your balcony via back stairs feels intrusive!!! Rearranging the chaotic decor would enhance the focus on the views!!! The steep climb from the railway tracks might challenge some guests more than expected!!!

The Standard Double Room at Wood Heart was cozy and spacious with an amazing balcony view of the mountains and waterfall. It felt basic but provided everything we needed. We loved having breakfast out there every morning, surrounded by nature. The family atmosphere was really lovely, and waking up for the sunrise on the roof was a highlight! Just a heads up, there are quite a few steps to climb back up, so it's something to think about if you're not very mobile.

Fine Views and an Amazing Family Experience
The family treated us like part of their crew, serving up amazing Sri Lankan breakfasts with fresh fruits on a charming balcony overlooking the mountains and a waterfall. We had a magical sunrise experience on the roof, and the walk along the train tracks into town added a unique touch to our trip. Just a heads up, there are quite a few stairs to navigate when going back up, but the views make it worth every step!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this homestay. The location was fantastic, with a scenic walk along the train tracks and plenty of opportunities to interact with the locals. The family who runs the homestay were incredibly caring and provided us with helpful suggestions for local activities. The Sri Lankan breakfasts served on the balcony were absolutely delicious, and we even received a takeaway breakfast for our early train departure.
We felt right at home at this homestay, and the hosts were always willing to go above and beyond to assist us. Nothing was too much trouble during our stay.
